Molly Porter - Crean

Molly Porter - Crean, staff writer

Hey! My name is Molly Porter- Crean. Currently I am a Junior at Triton High School. Within school I am a part of Student Council, Community Service, and I am a Junior class officer for the class of 2024. Aside from school, the activity that takes up most of my time is dance. I usually spend around 18 to 20 hours a week at my dance studio. I also can be found working at Aroma Joes in Salisbury as a Barista. When I do manage to find extra time in my schedule I love to hang out with friends and family. One of the things I love to do in my free time is go on adventures whether its a walk on a trail I have never been on before or traveling across various states to see some of my favorite music artists in concert I love the way that it makes me feel.  While I am not sure what the future holds for me regarding journalism, I am grateful for the way that journalism has pushed me as a writer and in social settings. I enjoy the way I can interview people within our community and also get a deeper look on events happening in our towns. Journalism allows for people to hear storys about their communities and also could give insight about certain things they may have never known if it wasn´t for local newspapers. After high school I know that I would like to attend college, yet I am so entirely sure what I would want to choose as a major. At this point I am just trying to keep my horizons open to any opportunities and ideas that may come my way over the next year before I make any drastic decisions. Overall I am excited for my future, but also I enjoy taking in current moments.
