Late Thursday night Newbury police were notified of a possible break in at a local high school, Triton Regional. Knowing in the past Georgetown students have pulled pranks before on Triton the police were ready to go. Immediately after checking their cameras they found that there was an unauthorized entry into the school. Following procedure, emergency services rushed to the scene where they later found a group of young teenage boys hiding in the ventilation system at Triton.

Officer Lucy was first on the scene “ It was an unfortunate incident, but one that we were prepared for. Sometimes kids do really stupid things and this is a perfect example of that. It’s not uncommon that we see Newburyport students acting this dumb”

Police chief Patricia A. Fisherif, refused to comment on the scene

Led by senior Cam Capanigro, a group of four other Newburyport seniors decided to pull a prank for the ages, planting fish in the venting systems here at Triton. Not realizing the full consequences of their actions the group infiltrated the high school through door number 8. It was there that they used a ladder to get into the ceiling near the auditorium. Hearing the screams of “Newbury police!” Capanigro made a decision for the group to try and hide it out in the ceiling. Fortunately our diligent school resource officer was able to track these delinquent’s down.

Capanigro said “ It was honestly really funny and I don’t regret it, I was literally laughing so hard I fell off the ladder and had to climb back up. Even though i’m probably going to get in a serious amount of trouble for this it was so worth it”

Principal Kelly is said to introduce  a new security program making sure an incident like this will never happen again. The security plan is to assign former assistant principal Scott Brennan as night watch duty. Where he will continue out his glory days in the boys locker room, guarding the school from anyone who should try him.

Principal Kelly said “ I have the utmost confidence in Mr.Brennan, everyone knows he is a force to be reckoned with. He is more than qualified for a position of this caliber, he is a master in martial arts and has obtained a black belt. I can’t even get pass my white belt, the school will be in good hands”

Students are now complaining about the safety of our school, to combat this uneasiness the guidance department has decided to bring in therapy pigs to help calm down students who are feeling this type of way. Mrs. Piecewicz said “Pigs are great, and they’re pink. Pink helps everyone calm down because its a neutral color”
