Alanna Sparks

Alanna Sparks, staff writer

Hi! My name is Alanna Sparks. I’m a junior at Triton High School, While at school I look forward to some classes like forensics , journalism and vtv, other classes not so much. After school I work at Dairy Queen in Salisbury and spend lots of time with my friends doing random things. It is little things I look forward to no matter what they might be. Most of my weekends are taken up by work and friends but I do my best to squeeze time in with my dog and family as well. I never planned on being a journalist, I took this class to get a different writing expersinse and get out of the opinion part of writing and get into the facts. So far I enjoy this class. I find that journalism is a good  way for me to write about current topics and keep everyone reading up to date. Getting to interview students, staff and people from outside of school is something about this class I really enjoy. Taking this class is a good way for me to take things students or myself might be interested in or want to learn a little bit more about and write about them than share those stories for others to read. I think that journalism is a fun way for students to hear about things going on in our community and sometimes we can all get involved in things that are going on. It is an easy way for many people to get themselves in the loop with things that are going on around them. After High School I see myself working with children and trying to do my best to help those in our community. The career is unclear at the moment, but I have a rough idea of what will make me happy outside of high school and for the future.
