Aiden Szymanski

My name is Aiden Szymanski. I am a junior at Triton High School and a staff writer for the Triton Voice.

Outside of school, I keep myself busy with ice hockey and work. Beyond that, I’ve taken up an opportunity to be a part of Triton Football’s media team which is a lot of fun and I get to practice hobbies of mine in photography and social media. I have an older brother named Justin, a senior in college who I’m very close with, and like to spend time with my friends as well.

Since I was young I’ve always been interested in journalism. I love having people read my work, and I like approaching people and gathering information from them. I mostly write about sports, as seen by my Instagram account @bruinsig, but I will branch out to other topics as well. My goal in writing for the newspaper is to be a sponge and absorb as much information as possible so I can set myself up to pursue a career in sports-journalism.

Being a journalist and writing for the school paper is important to me because I take pride in giving students, teachers and staff the proper due for things that they accomplish, whether it be sports, academics, community work, or any other extra curricular, I understand the power that comes with including people in the paper for all to see, and I look forward to making people feel accomplished for what they do by including them in the paper.

I want to pursue a career in sports-journalism, more specifically a beat writer for hockey in Boston. Combining my greatest strength with my biggest interest is an opportunity that I’m very excited for.

I’m very motivated to write for the paper and make it as interesting as it can be.
