Sofia DeSimone, Staff Writer
Staff writer Sofia DeSimone is a senior at Triton High School. This is her first year writing for The Voice.
DeSimone is a class officer for the Class of 2018. She enjoys covering sports and student life when writing articles and editorials for The Voice. In her spare time, she enjoys playing field hockey, participating in track and field, and watching Netflix.
As a senior, she plans on attending either Boston College, Villanova University, University of Virginia, UMass Amherst, or University of South Carolina. Some day, she would like to major in business, economics, or finance and someday work in the business field for a big corporation in a city like New York or Boston.
DeSimone enjoys writing for The Voice because it gives a student perspective of the school. She thinks that she will learn more about news and how articles are written this year in journalism class. She finds journalism important because it connects humans with real-world, current events and news. Something “off-beat” about DeSimone is she is very organized and likes to have everything color-coded.
