Maggie Bowen, journalist
My name is Maggie Bowen. I am a 16- year- old junior at Triton High School. I am from Rowley Massachusetts, and I work at the Clam Box in Ipswich Ma. On my free time I do extracurricular activities such as volleyball, hangout with friends, go outside, listen to music, and go to the beach. I like to travel and explore new places outdoors, I also have a never ending love for animals. I consider myself to be a very impulsive and honest person. I like to be there for my friends when they need it, and help them feel better. When I am out of high school, I would like to go into the medical field or be a teacher. In journalism, I like to cover stories that have an effect on the majority of the student body. Also, I like to write stories about interesting things people do on their free time, things other people wouldn’t know about each other. I enjoy writing for Triton’s newspaper because I like being able to inform people about what is going on in their community. From writing for the paper, I have learned that there are many stories behind closed doors that people are very unaware about. I believe journalism is important because it informs people on the events happening around them that could potentially have an effect on them.
