Maia Perry, Staff Writer
My name is Maia Perry. I moved to Salisbury in 2nd grade and have lived there ever since with my mom and my seven-year-old sister. I am currently 17 and I am a senior this year at Triton. I enjoy covering things like fashion and new trends for the school newspaper.
During my freetime, I enjoy drawing and doing any type of art, playing with my pitbull-lab mix, Rainy, and I enjoy spending time with my friends. I usually don’t have much free time because I’m either in school or working. I work as a hostess at the Hungry Traveler in Salisbury, and as a counter-girl at Stone Crust Pizza in Newburyport.
I plan on going south for college to get away from Massachusetts and the cold winters. I am choosing between Coastal Carolina University and Florida Gulf Coast University, both which I was accepted to. I plan on majoring in Psychology and minoring in Art, or Art History, to become an Art Therapist.
I started writing for Triton Voice this year and I believe writing and journalism are perfect ways to express yourself and your thoughts. The way you write can really show who you are as a person. I love expressing myself through art and writing.
