Oh hey, didn’t see you there! I am Haleigh Harris, a junior at Triton High School. I am entering my 10th year of playing softball, my 4th year of tournament ball. I am currently in the process of trying to be recruited for college! I work at Dunkin’ in Newburyport. I have an older sister who wrote for the Triton Voice from 2019-2020. Her name is Holly Harris. My friends and I love to take drives at 11 pm to Crumbl Cookies in Methuen, because they close at midnight. At this point, I do not think I will pursue journalism, but I do love to write. I am also a very passionate person, so I was excited to participate in the journalism class. I love talking to people, and I think this would be a great experience for me to get more used to talking to strangers or acquaintances. I think that journalism is important, especially from smaller sources, because you can get out and learn what happened on your own. People love to see their names in the paper, and would love to see that someone is interested in them, so it is great for the community. After high school, my goal is to get recruited for softball and major in pre-med/medical. I am also passionate about politics and social justice, so that is also a possibility for me.
