Holly Harris, Staff Writer
Hey! My name is Holly Harris. I am a junior at Triton High School. I play soccer for Triton, as well as softball and enjoy both sports. I work at the Market Basket in Seabrook as a cashier. I have a younger sister Haleigh, who is a freshman this year at Triton. Becoming a professional journalist is not the career path I will most likely follow, however, I really enjoy interviewing students and faculty, hearing other’s opinions and stories, as well as writing in general. I think being a journalist and writing for the school newspaper is important because I believe it gives people the chance to have a voice in matters that sometimes might go unnoticed, or are not talked about. I think the media and journalism are important for our communities because often we hear “news” that is really just opinions and false information, mixed with facts, which may alter the story. As journalists for Triton, we only report the actual facts. After high school, I will be majoring in criminal justice. As for what path I will take for a job with that as my major, I am still unsure. However, I know I want to be on the investigative side of that line of work. Feel free to reach out with any questions, comments, and or possible stories. You can reach me at [email protected].
