Due to the excessive number of snow days, along with many power outages and other factors, the Triton School Committee has decided to push graduation and all senior activities back, including the Senior Prom, to a later date.

Previously, the Senior Class had no care at all about the snow days, but learning the news of the date movements angered many of them. Understandably, the Seniors are infuriated at the thought of having to move ALL senior activities with some saying that the administration is just trying to punish them for something.

An infuriated Andy Burns yelled “I leave for basic training right after where graduation was scheduled. I cannot afford for this to get moved back or I can’t attend graduation.”

Also displaying great concern over the situation is Senior Will Karantonis, who said “I’ve already arranged to start working during the lunch shifts. I don’t care if I get in trouble. I can promise you I’m not coming in those days.”

Junior Alli Palmerino has rather strong opinions about the situation, telling The Triton Voice “Why is it you seniors have to stay for longer? That means it’s just even more time until we’re the top dogs of the school and we’ve already had to wait three years to reach that spot. Now it’s being taken away.”

Others are in hysterics over this news. Freshman Anthony “Sprinkles” Mariniello said, “Serves those seniors right. All those snow days that we underclassmen have to make up. HAHAHA! The seniors are so going to pay,” on top of Anthony, Alan Burns stated “HAHAHA! Serves you right for wishing for all snow days earlier in the year. Now you have to make them up like the rest of us.”

It was confirmed on April 1st  that all the date changes are final, with Principal Timothy Ruggere stating “This is what has to be done. There is no way around it. Graduation has been pushed back to July 31st
