Ways Triton Gives Back

Caitlyn Chaisson, Staff Writer

During the holiday season Triton does many things to give back to the community. One of those things is the coat drive. This year the coat drive is booming.

“It’s the biggest one we’ve ever had,” said Kim Wright.

The coat drive is when students bring in lightly worn winter coats to donate. From here, the coats are cleaned and given to kids in need. It is something we have done for many years here at Triton and will continue to do for the years to come.

Also, during the weeks of homecoming Triton holds a can drive. This is when students in different classes compete to see who can bring in the most canned goods. These canned goods are then donated to those in need.

“I think it’s nice how Triton is always doing things for different people and organizations in need, I love being apart of this school system,” said Carisa Boyle

Lastly, one of Triton’s many after school clubs is the Community Service Club. The members in this club participate in events like canning and bell-ringing. They have weekly meetings to discuss ways to better triton and it’s community. Next time you feel like giving back, try participating in one of these programs Triton High School has to offer!
