Hii! My name is Ixchel Ramirez, pronounced like Michelle without the m. I’m a junior at Triton High School. Outside of school, I like hanging out with friends. We like to go to each other’s houses or the mall. I work after school at Dunkin Donuts. I also have 2 younger siblings with my younger brother and me having an 11-year age gap

I’ve always been told by friends and family that I would be a good news reporter because I like to dig deep into things and stories. I thought taking journalism would be a good fit for me even though I’m not quite sure if it’s something I want to pursue in the future it’s still an interesting class and I enjoy it. 

Journalism and the media are people’s sources of finding things out and getting their information. Social media is a big way of spreading information and news whether it be from Instagram posts or online newspapers. It’s important for our communities to know what’s going on around them. 

To be honest I’m not quite sure what I want to do after high school but I’m interested in criminology, business, and psychology. I also want to do some traveling sometime in the future. 

I speak 2 languages, English and Spanish, Spanish being the first language I learned. I really enjoy reading and hanging out with my friends and cousins. I also like learning new recipes mostly for baking.
