Andrew Babine, Staff Writer
Hello, my name is Andrew Babine. I’m a junior at Triton Regional High School, and this year I am taking journalism as my English class. Outside of my studies, I engage in the theatre arts at Triton through the fall play and spring musical. After school and on the weekends, I have a part time job at Marshalls. I have one older sister and one younger brother, who I unfortunately spend a lot of my free time babysitting. When I do have leftover freetime, I usually spend it with my friends. As far as why I chose to take journalism this year, I felt it would be interesting to learn how to produce unbiased news, in an age where most news and media is. I hope to write things this year that I actually feel passionate about, but I would like to learn how to share information I am passionate about without actually putting my biases into whatever I am writing. Unbiased news and media is an art that I think has been lost in the last decade or so, so bringing it back even is something as local as a high school newspaper I think is important. Though I find journalism interesting, it is not currently what I plan to do with my life, and I instead plan on going to nursing school.
