Triton students told what their favorite movies to binge watch during the holidays
Triton junior Sarah Burd told us her top three favorite Christmas movies she watches during the holidays.
“Elf is my number one choice because it’s a quality movie because it’s a classic, you never get tired of it and Will Ferrell is hilarious,” said Burd.
“Santa Clause 1 is my second choice because, it’s’ the best movie because originals of movies are the best, they set the base for the other ones,” said Burd.
“Home Alone Lost in New York is my third favorite because the bad guys are just better,” said Burd.
Families love to tune into the Hallmark channel, or ABC Family to watch some of their favorite Christmas movies. Some tune into Netflix or simply watch on DVD. Christmas movies get people into the Christmas spirit and spread joy around the world.
There has been over hundreds of Christmas movies made over the years, but what are people’s favorite movies. Triton high schoolers spoke on which ones are their favorite and why.
Another Triton Junior, Olivia Ritchie spoke on what her top three Christmas movies are.
“My top three have to be Home alone 2, Rudolph the Rednosed Reindeer, and the Original cartoon Grinch,” said Ritchie.
“Rudolph is my favorite because I’ve watched it since I was a child and I watch it every Christmas so it’s a tradition,” said Ritchie.
Junior, Erin Power also gave her top three favorite Christmas movies she can’t go without during the holidays.
“My all time favorite Christmas movie is definitely Home Alone 2 because it brings me in the holiday spirit,” said Power.
“My second favorite is, Elf, because it’s a funny movie and gets me in the holiday spirit,” said Power.
“And my third favorite would have to be, Home Alone 1, I mean, I just love Macaulay Culkin,” said Power.
These are all many classics that people these days still love to watch. Clearly, Elf and the Home Alone saga, are what some of people’s top three favorite Christmas movies are. These movies are what brings families closer during the cold holidays where they, grab hot chocolate, and go by the fire to watch their favorite movies to get them into the Christmas spirit.
All these movies are over ten years old and are still till this day people’s favorite Christmas movies of all time.
As for Rudolph being on this list, this movie came out January 1, 1964, being one of the oldest ones on this list of movies, and it’s still a classic everybody watches during the holidays.
Hallmark has a countdown to Christmas movie watch list that people tune into every night. It’s a list of different Christmas movies that the play every night until it’s Christmas. This list started on October, 27 and goes all the way until December, 29 all movies starting at eight o’clock.
ABC Family is known for their twenty five days till Christmas countdown. This list started December, 1 and goes all the way to December, 25. They play multiply Christmas movies all starting at different times.
There is also new Christmas movies that have emerged this Christmas. One of the most known Christmas movies, The Grinch, came out with an animated Grinch movie that came out on November, 9.
