Ice Ice Bieber: Let’s talk about a favorite song
Murph Monthly

Welcome to Murph monthly where I go around and ask my fellow Tritonians what their favorite song of all time is review it and give it a rating out of ten. Today I will be talking about Junior Krys Vashon’s favorite song “Drummer Boy” by Justin Bieber

Initially, I thought that he told this to me as a joke because it is October and he is making me listen to a Christmas song. However, it is pretty good as far as Justin Bieber goes being based on a song that already exists and putting his own rap remix to the slower parts of the song. With the feature form, Busta Rhymes is able to dig more into the tempo and flow of the rap and assist Justin in keeping it in more of a hip-hop and techno beat. With all of the remixes that I have heard of the song they always want to show off on the pa-rum-pa-pum=pam part and Justin did that on every single one getting really repetitive and wanting to show off.

On a scale of one to ten, I would give it a 5/10 not just because it’s not the time of year but because it is just a really weird rap and doesn’t really flow that well. Being at the start of Justin’s career and wanting to rap and seem like more of a tough guy other than the fact he looks like a five-year-old. Thanks for reading. I will be back next week with a new song and if you want to give me a suggestion, come ask me.

Yo, my name is Hudson Murphy and I am a senior at Triton Regional High School. I like to play drums and make music, I enjoy intramural volleyball and throw shotput for the track team both seasons. I work at a dog daycare called Frisky Dog, I have a twin sibling called Weston who goes to the same school as me. I enjoy watching movies and shows with my friends and family. I like how involved you can get with school and life in general and get people caught up on what is going on in the world. I prefer to write about trends and events going on in the school. My goal is to get more people to read the newspaper and keep up with everything going on with everything around them. Being able to have the information and showing people the current events and stuff going around in the world is important in keeping people up to date and able to adjust to the information. After high school, I want to go to college and study health sciences specializing in exercise. I would like to make a career as a personal trainer and help people reach their full potential. It makes me happy to see others succeed and reach beyond what they think they are capable of.  You can reach me at [email protected]
