Newburyport Bank Robbery, Suspect Still at Large

A bank robbery at Santander Bank in Newburyport Massachusetts took place yesterday afternoon and the suspect is still at large. Yesterday, at 4:30, police responded to Santander Bank at 45 Storey Avenue for a bank robbery report. The suspect was said to be wearing a camouflage jacket, surgical mask, sunglasses, and carrying a white duffle bag. No weapon was shown, but according to The Daily News, the robber “demanded money from the teller, who gave him an undisclosed amount of cash.” After completing the robbery, the suspect then fled into the woods across the street behind the Hodgies Too ice cream place. Police from the city and neighboring areas as well as the state police swarmed the Newburyport area looking for the suspect. Helicopters and K-9 dogs attempted tracking down the suspect.
