Coronavirus, Adoptable Dogs on Pizza Boxes
Fears of the new Coronavirus are rapidly spreading across the United States as more cases appear in the country. According to the CDC, there have been 22 positive cases in the United States and one death. Health officials are cautioning people to wash their hands and avoid contact with people who have traveled overseas recently. The virus is infecting stocks, which have dramatically dropped since the outbreak began in Wuhan, China.
A pizza shop in New York is teaming up with a local animal shelter to raise awareness about adoptable dogs. The pizza shop is putting pictures of the adoptable dogs on the pizza boxes, letting the buyers know where they can find the pooch. With the initiative, one 6-month-old dog named Larry has already been adopted because of the pizza box, according to CNN.
