Trump offers to help Mexico take care of the Cartel after 9 Americans die

Violence in Mexico due to Cartel activity is on the rise, and Trump offers to help the Mexican President take action against the Cartel.

Trump on November 5th offered to help the new Mexican president take action against Cartels after 9 Americans, 6 children, were shot up and burned in their cars in s apparent ambush by a local cartel in the Mexican border state of Sonora. As well as the Sinaloa Cartel raiding/sieging part of the city of Culiacan in retaliation to the short capture of El Chapo’s son, Guzman, by Mexican Soldiers.

According to the Mexican Security Minister, Alfonso Durazo, he believes that the Americans were killed on the highway because they were mistaken as a rival Cartel, by the Cartel in the area.

Trump sent out some heated tweets about recent violence in Mexico. Asking for the Mexican president to team up with U.S. forces and take down the cartel.

“If Mexico needs or requests help in cleaning out these monsters, the United States stands ready, willing & able to get involved and do the job quickly and effectively,” Trump tweeted

Later, Trump and Obrador, had a call were Trump offered “assistance” in Mexico’s drug war and talked more on border cooperation as well.

The newly elected Mexican president, Manuel Lopez Obrador, responded by saying that his country doesn’t need foreign intervention to help. But he is thankful that Trump would offer assistance and ensured that the Mexican Justice System would bring Justice to those responsible. 

Obrador said he is willing to work with the FBI, as long as they upheld Mexico’s National Sovereignty.
