FAKE NEWS!!! WATCH OUT!!!

YOU HAVE BEEN SUBJECT TO FAKE NEWS. THE ARTICLE YOU JUST READ IS FAKE. If you pay close attention there is a ‘works cited’ blurb at the bottom, but the information given is not a reliable source.

Fake News is something causing a lot of people to succumb to fake information without even knowing. There are posts and websites holding information that is proven to be false, but is still out there and trying to get people to see them. They will use current problems, trying to relate it to you and your life to get your attention, (the juniors and everyone wanting to leave when the seniors do).

The people who create these posts and attention-grabbing comments, are usually organized advertisers trying to sell you a product or could even be a political group trying to make you view their side as the victim or the side-to-support.

Mostly in phones, social media can use your google searches to design specific advertisements on the posts you see on social media, to reflect a product or item you have been or were looking for. You can see where this can be a problem and concern many people.

To make sure you are receiving factual information and not this fake-stuff, use the Triton Voice Website to see other articles on fake news or take a look around in the hallways for other fake news projects.
