Your Express Route to Boston

At C&J Bus Station in Newburyport, MA you can ride cheap and in comfort to Boston and New York City.

All one must do is purchase a ticket in advance (online) or at the station itself, park the car and hop on the bus. Ticket fares from Newburyport to Logan are $22 one-way, while Newburyport to South Station are $16 one-way. (Both are doubled for a two-way ticket).

When comparing C&J and the MBTA, it was found that C&J is another alternative. The price for a round-trip ticket on the MBTA from Newburyport to North Station is $23, along with a subway ticket for around $5 round-trip to get you to South Station.

Although there is a slight difference in prices, C&J is slightly higher; yet it is much more convenient. C&J states itself, “Bus service is a convenient alternative to driving your personal vehicle to Boston or New York.”  (Stated on www.ridecj.com homepage).

C&J offers many amenities on their coach buses. The C&J buses have complimentary water bottles, onboard wifi, and comfortable seats with business class legroom. Restrooms are also on each of the C&J buses.

On buses traveling to New York, a wider variety of refreshments are available; rather than just water offered on buses to Boston and Logan Airport.

Ms. Flaherty travels C&J often. “When I fly out of Boston I always take the bus,” said Flaherty. “When I’ve gone into Boston for musicals or comedians or for protest marches you don’t have to worry about parking on the other end and parking is expensive in Boston.”

All C&J locations offer valet parking for the price of $7. If one travels on an extended vacation of up to 21 days, free parking is offered at each C&J parking lot.

Triton Senior Jantina Nguyen has had the experience of using C&J. Nguyen was traveling to Logan Airport and spared her parents a trip at 6AM by taking the bus.

“It was a really quiet and relaxing atmosphere. They served us coffee at the front of the bus, ” Nguyen said. “They have a rule on the bus that you can’t talk on your phone, that’s why they offer wifi for texts. That’s why I think it was a very quiet ride.”

According to GasBuddy.com, the average price of gas in the Boston area is $2.784 miles per gallon. From C&J Bus stop in Newburyport to Boston Logan Airport is approximately 35 miles. Assuming one is driving the average car, and buying the average priced gas, it would cost about $12.57 to travel one way to the airport.

Traveling C&J is another way of getting to the city. Not just Boston, but New York, Portsmouth, and Dover, NH. It also offers competitive prices with services, such as the MBTA. The ride includes amenities and a peaceful environment. Next time one wishes to travel, C&J is an easy solution to the transportation part of a trip.
