Senior Tina Gordon, can finally take a breath of fresh air from the stress of the college application process, now that she was just accepted to her third top school, the schools being Gordon, Lasell, and SNHU.

Why are Gordon, Lasell, and SNHU, your top three schools?

After researching many different schools I narrowed my list down to 5 schools I was going to apply too. Gordon, Lasell, and SNHU are my top three schools, because they all offer my major, they all offer financial aid, and they are all relatively close to home. I also thought that these three schools had pretty campuses, good academics, and great student activities.

What is your major?

My major is Elementary Education. I have always loved spending time with younger kids and my Mom always told me, the key to success is to do what you love.

Are you excited to live on campus?

Yes, I am excited to live the full college experience and to participate in school activities. I’ve never lived away from home, so even though im staying close to home, living on campus will be a big change for me.

Is staying close to home important to you?

Yes, extremely! I am very family oriented and very close to my four sisters, 2 nieces and nephew. My family is my whole world and being able to come home and visit them regularly is a must for me.

What excites you the most about college?

I am excited to start a new chapter in my life and prepare for my future. I have enjoyed my time at high school and it is going to be sad leaving, but I am ready to start preparing for my life. I am also really excited to make new friends, and participate in school activities. While this may sound crazy to some, I am most excited to receive an education based solely on what I want to do.

What school are you leaning towards? Why?

Right now I am leaning towards SNHU (Southern New Hampshire University). I’m still waiting to hear back from one more school on the financial aid they will offer, but I am leaning towards SNHU, because it was one of my top schools, it’s less than an hour away from home, they offered me a good amount of financial aid, and as of right now I know of two other students who are pretty sure they’re going to attend, Riane Vatcher, and Lindsey Laudenslager.
