iPhone X

The Newest Addition to Apple

iPhone+X

The world already has touch screen, voice control, and Bluetooth. Now, we have face recognition and more on the newest smartphone created by Apple; the iPhone X. I walked into the Verizon store and immediately saw where the iPhone X was being displayed. I stood in front of the phone and a man who worked in the store came up to me.
“It’s amazing, right,” he said. “It’s almost like an Android. All swipe.” he said. I thought, good salesman.
The iPhone X is higher quality, bigger, and “all swipe”.
Compared to the other iPhones, this iPhone is skinnier, but has a larger screen which makes it seem like it is bigger. There is no longer a place for a home button, or the extra space at the top of the phone where the front camera and the microphone were. The screen goes right up and around the camera all the way to the edge of the phone.
Since there is no longer a home button, users now have to swipe up to exit out of apps and unlock the phone. There is also a new feature that is used to unlock the phone which uses face recognition. I didn’t get to try this out because the store disabled the passcode option. It’s pretty self explanatory but the phone scans your face and will unlock. Which, is handy if you don’t want someone going into your phone.
When you look at the back of the phone you notice the back camera is no longer just one little circle. It’s vertical, and has dual cameras that can create a depth-of-field effect that gives the background of the photo a blurred look. When you take a photo you have a “portrait” option where you can add captivating lighting effects. This makes your photos higher quality compared to other iPhones.
Apple has made a better name for itself when it comes to its technology by creating this phone. The face recognition and the camera are truly impressive. The only downside to the iPhone X is its price of $999. But, with the qualities the phone holds, it makes sense why it’s so expensive.
