This past week in all Psychology classes throughout Triton High School, the students viewed the movie Good Will Hunting, starring young Matt Damon. The movie consists of many life lessons that observers of the film can receive. Matt Damon plays the role of a poor orphaned twenty year old, named Will Hunting, who grew up in South Boston. However Will Hunting is a natural genius. He is able to grasp and understand any form of math, or physics. The movie was shown to demonstrate perseverance and to view how counselling can improve an individual.

“The movie showed me how people can change,” said Rachel Rowe. “I first viewed the character Will Hunting as a degenerate who had a special talent for math. But as the movie progressed I noticed the metamorphosis that Will Hunting went through. He became a stronger man and chased for his personal love.”

As said by a student of the class, the movie taught many life lessons. One important lesson was how to deplete being defensive to personal questions. In the movie Will Hunting wouldn’t open up to his councilor. But after time he learned to deal with his terrible past life and open up to his new opportunities brought to him by his trait of genius. This can portray onto the students at Triton because it shows them that even in the worse conditions they may be in, can always lead to the greatest opportunities of success.
