Student Cole Smith can not believe the Patriots and how well they’ve exceeded expectations.
“I think the Patriots should honestly be undefeated right now,” claims student Anthony Russo, showing that Smith is not alone.
The Patriots, through the first 14 games of the season, have truly been an eye catcher. The Patriots currently hold a 11-2 record, and the season is still looking bright for New England with star quarterback Drake Maye at the top of the rankings as the potential MVP for this year.
Even with some injuries to this team, they have pushed through and haven’t let anything stop them. The Patriots have made trades to overcome some of our soft spots and have covered for these unfortunate injuries.
With the best record in the entire NFL, the Patriots have high hopes for being Super Bowl candidates, and hopefully, New England fans will see Red, White, and Blue confetti at the New Orleans Caesar Super Dome in Louisiana
Sports analyst and NFL trending news writer Sophie Weller states in a recent comment, “They have the second-most talented quarterback in the division, I don’t think it’s particularly close, in Drake Maye. They’ve got to get him weapons in the draft, but it’s a very good tight end, running back draft. They upgraded with Mike Vrabel as (head) coach from Jerod Mayo, who just didn’t work. They spent a lot of money. This is just going to be a different team. I think they will double their win total, no question.” (Weller, 2025)
Triton Student Jared Nickerson said, “I thought the Pats would be bad. Like 4-13 or 5-12 bad. Drake Maye is a stud. I think that the Patriots will be one of those teams that have a great regular season and lose in the wild-card round,” said Nickerson
The Patriots are having an exceptional season, with star players making such a huge impact on the first dozen games of the season, and a couple of others agree too!
Triton substitute Mr Richard Keys states: “I think they’re doing better with their new coach, the coach is doing a great job, and the defense has been great. Josh McDaniels has been amazing for us, and his play-calling with the offense always gets players open. McDaniels has been obviously talking to the team and switching the scheme up to adjust to our opponent at hand. He is always talking and adjusting our team to help Drake Maye as much as possible, getting guys open to the best of their ability. They’re playing a bunch of new young players, hoping to get better and better at a young age, and getting adjusted to the game…. But overall, I am happy with how the Patriots are looking, especially looking back to the last couple of years. But I do think we should have won both games we lost against the Raiders and Steelers.” Russo agrees.
“ They shouldn’t have lost against Pittsburgh, and Rhamondre Stevenson should’ve been benched a while ago. As a fan, I’m very happy with the free agent signings such as Milton Williams and Stefon Diggs. Our defense was bad last year, and Williams has been great for run support so far. I think they will make it to the AFC championship but end up selling there.”
Many think the Patriots have been having an excellent season thus far. Student Anthony Russo believes that the Pats should hold an undefeated record through the first dozen games of the season. As we reach the last 6 weeks of the NFL’s regular season and the highly anticipated playoffs creep around the corner, many beg the question: Can Mike Vrabel and Drake Maye lead the Patriots to a Super Bowl in just year 1 of their rebuild?
