Xander Averill, Staff Writer & Copy Editor
I’m Xander, my pronouns are he/it and I am currently a senior at Triton High School.
Academics wise, I enjoy English and writing as well as pursuing as many of the science courses that the school has to offer.
Outside of school, I work at Playtime Pet Resort, a dog daycare in Salisbury (which I thoroughly enjoy – and thus has given me very heated opinions on dog breeds).
I have a singular brother, who currently lives in Florida, working as an aerospace engineer for SpaceX.
Other than work, I also write in my free time and am an avid concert-goer and you can typically find me rambling about my favorite bands and their artistry.
With journalism, I enjoy the ability to deliver the truth. I enjoy writing about topics that I like or are important to me, such as politics, my interests, local interests or even dogs (hopefully). Being a journalist is important because it gives you an outlet to the rest of the world and an opportunity to make your voice and countless others heard.
