Sadie Deveau, Staff Writer & Layout Editor
Hello! I’m Sadie Deveau, and I’m a junior at Triton High School.
During school, I enjoy seeing my friends. I currently have a job at Lena’s Seafood, which is a seasonal job where I’ll be starting my third year there in the spring. I have two siblings, my brother Billy and my sister Mia.
I’ve always loved to write, less so reading, so when I heard journalism was mostly about writing I knew I definitely wanted to do it, I also find myself being a person who knows gossip around the school so I figured that would be perfect. So far I’m loving it and I’m thinking of maybe majoring in journalism in college.
Being a journalist is all about knowing the latest gossip and what is currently going on around us. Being a journalist is important for keeping the students and teachers updated on the latest events, sports and debates going around the school.
I’m a junior right now so it’s getting closer to where I have to decide what I would like to do for the rest of my life. Before this year I don’t think I ever truly knew what I wanted to do after high school, but going into journalism seemed to have clicked something in me and made me passionate about journalism. I would also love to continue my job at Lena’s whenever I could.
I find myself to be kind, independent, and able to self-advocate for myself. I love nature, going on walks, and anything to do with animals, so far I have a guinea pig, two cats, and a dog. I’m hoping to convince my parents to get more like a snake or a bearded dragon, just something different.
