Rowan Cole, Staff Writer & Assignment Editor
Hi! My name Is Rowan Cole, and I am a senior at Triton High School.
Some fun facts about me are that I am a varsity captain for the Triton girl’s volleyball team. I am a competitive dancer at JNP Dance Academy, and I love the beach.
I chose to take journalism because I enjoy writing and am always interested in the next top story to write about. My Goal for this class is to be able to share important and relevant articles with students. I enjoy being able to connect with people and being able to share opinions and stories that other students would enjoy reading.
I think that being a journalist and writing for the school’s newspaper is important because often the school’s paper is about things that will affect students or involve them in some way. It is also a good way to keep everyone informed about what is going on around them in neighboring communities.
After high school, I want to go to college to study to become a physical therapist for pediatrics.
Some more information about me and things I am proud of are my goals towards inclusion with best buddies, I am the chapter president for my school. I have been working with the national organization over the summer to help bring inclusion to my school and surrounding schools with kids with intellectual disabilities.
