Riley McIsaac, Staff Writer & Social Media Editor
Hello! My name is Riley McIsaac, I’m 16 and I’m a junior at Triton High School.
I only play one sport, which is softball for my high school. At home I have two older brothers named Chris and Matthew, my parents Rick and Sarah, and my two golden doodles, Brody and Lucy.
Outside of school, I enjoy painting/ drawing, and hanging out with my favorite people. I work at the Slip Lounge on Bridge Road in Salisbury as a food runner and enjoy it very much.
I enjoy my journalism with Mr. Allen, who was also my freshman-year English teacher. What I find most fun is interviewing all sorts of people and finding out new stuff for every assignment. I believe these skills will help in future writing throughout high school and college greatly.
Being a journalist and writing for the school newspaper is important because we get to deliver information to other students and faculty about what goes on behind the scenes at Triton. Media and journalism are important for our communities because many parents like to stay involved and know what’s going on where they are putting their children to school. This allows them to give their opinions to the school and stay alert about information at our school or that might not even be here at Triton.
I haven’t yet figured out what college I would want to attend but I know what I would like to major in. Interior Design has always caught my eye in many ways. Designing places to make them feel like home, bringing smiles to people’s faces when seeing the finished product, and bringing new forms of furniture and style.
