Lucas Sullivan, Staff Writer & Sports Editor

Hey guys, my name is Luke Sullivan. I am a senior at Triton High School, and I love pancakes.

I am the captain of the hockey team and have been playing all my life. I am class president for the class of 2025, and I am involved in many different clubs: community service, Best Buddies, student council, captains council, and more. I have a job as a delivery driver at Famous Pizza in Newburyport. I have two older siblings, one brother and one sister who are both in college. I enjoy going on hikes, drives, and going to the beach with my friends.

I do not necessarily plan on getting into journalism in the future, however I still really like it. In journalism, I get the freedom of choosing what I would like to write about. My goal for the school paper is to bring awareness to students about topics that they actually want to read about.

I believe being a journalist for the school newspaper is important because it requires you to actually put yourself out there. In this class, you are required to go get at least three interviews for each news story, which is very helpful for social skills. This paper is also a great way to get news out to the community about specific upcoming or past events. It gives people a good way to get connected to the school.

As I get older I am looking forward to going to college for finance, following in the footsteps of both my mom and dad. I hope to one day become a financial manager for a sports organization.
