Battle of the Ice Cream Shops

The homemade ice cream shop or the ice cream chain?

When choosing where to go for ice cream it can be hard to choose between these two very different ice cream places. Do I choose the homemade ice cream stand, White Farms, located in Ipswich with over 50 different flavors of hard serve ice cream? Or do I choose the soft serve ice cream and Blizzards from the popular ice cream chain, Dairy Queen, located in Ipswich and Salisbury.

Between three of my classes that I surveyed, 25 students said that they would choose White Farms over Dairy Queen. Junior, Carisa Boyle said she would choose White Farms because “I like hard ice cream better and they have a huge variety of flavors.”

The other 31 students said they would go to Dairy Queen. Junior Grace McGonagle said, “Dairy queen has a larger variety of ice cream. I love the blizzards plus they have cones, soft serve, shakes and more. I would rather choose a place with more options of ice cream.”

Personally, I expected White Farms to get more votes.  I would choose White Farms in a heartbeat. Their unique flavors make it hard to beat, but it looks like the country-wide ice cream chain, Dairy Queen, won this one.
