This Years Hottest Toys
December is here and many people of all ages are preparing for the “most wonderful time of the year” but stress can change a person’s ideas of the holidays into a burden. With so many choices to choose from how do you know what holiday gift is best for your loved ones? With the help of Triton voice you may be able to better understand what those kids want for Christmas based on the most popular toys out there.
According to the online website goodhousekeeping.com “amazon says theses are going to be the hottest toys of Christmas 2018”. The list itself mentions 23 different toys and games for Christmas but this will only be a top three. Their list starts off at a toy called Pomsies, a small toy that “ clips on to an arm, backpack, or clothes so kids can carry it with them all day”. This product is marketed to young girls ages 3+.
Although amazon seems like a promising website to base the list off of, sometimes the best onsite comes from the opinion of the students themselves. Will Gundrum, a Triton student, believed the to toys right now is “probably monopoly”. Gundrum also said “My first choice would be video games if that counts but if not probably stuffed animals, legos”
Coming up as number two of the hottest toys list is Hasbro’s Chow Crown. This silly game is made for ages 8 and up. The point of the game is to grab the food hanging from the crown with your mouth before the time is up.
While interviewing other students, some didn’t know what to say or what kids would want this year. For example, when asked what the most popular toy in her opinion is, Triton student Leandra Drouin said “I don’t know what little kids like but probably slime”.
Finally at number three is Scruff-a-luvs. This toy comes as a large ball of fur that the children must brush back to reveal their pet. The toy itself is already back-ordered until mid-September proving how popular it is.
Although toys and gifts show love and affection, items don’t always need to be expensive to be appreciated. Making your own gifts by hand can prove to mean more to someone then something you bought online or in store. This Christmas give a gift that will mean a lot more to them then some fancy trinkets and it may be appreciated more.
