I just saw the Minecraft Movie, and let me just say… What a wild ride. I don’t even know where to start. Maybe with the part where a chicken nugget flew across the theater and hit me in the forehead.
So my friends and I went to Vision Max, which is almost always empty, except today. Teenagers flooded the movie theater. The door to the theater had a line blocking every other movie entrance. People got yelled at and told to move, people were just too excited for it to start. Everyone entered, spasticity trying to find seats next to people they knew, and once everyone sat, a rumble went across the room. Kids were waiting in anticipation, then the lights lowered and everyone screamed as loud as they could, then in pure excitement, someone threw an entire McDonald’s chicken nugget like it was a graduation cap. It smacked me in the face, and I honestly couldn’t even be mad. I just sent it back into the crowd.
Now, the actual movie? Honestly, it was good. I liked it a lot. This game has been around for years, and different lore has been built off of it, so many people expected different things, like the Ender Dragon or even Herobrine. What people need to fully understand is that this movie is for kids and to get children to play the game and use their creativity. It’s a Jumanji-type storyline and is about the nether vs. the overworld. The relationship between piglin and the player is explored while they are stuck in the game and have to find a way out. The goal is to find the gem in the Woodland mansion, and that’s where the chicken jockey came out; everyone screamed. “When I walked out of that movie theater I thought, what did I just watch? But I loved it.” Said junior Jada Schlosberg.
But they didn’t fully leave out lore; they added hidden details, as when Steve looks into the eyes of the enderman, it’s only his eyes that go white like Herobrine. The movie also launches the new mob, the happy ghast, a ghast you can fly and store chests on. And in the end, creativity wins 8/10!

Addison Rowe, Online Editor/Staff Writer
Hello, my full name is Addison Rose Rowe and I am a junior attending Triton High School. When I was 13 I started working as a dog groomer in Peabody MA, Dogone Purr-fect. I work for my great aunt who owns the business and taught me the basics. Working with animals has been my passion ever since I was born. I have a Mom, Dad, Sister, and Brother but my dad no longer lives with us and my sister is in college. I am very grateful for my family as we all are very different but we all love each other anyways. Journalism probably won’t be in my future but I like the thought of having a voice and being able to have creative freedom in my writing. Being able to get first-hand information is a great life skill to achieve. Journalism is a great way to improve communication skills, build confidence, and provide a platform for students. After I finish high school I plan to go to college in business and continue my career in dog grooming.

Liam Dostie, Online editor/Staff Writer
Hello, I’m Liam Dostie and I am a junior at Triton High School. I am 17 and live about 3 minutes away from Triton. I am an online editor for Triton Voice and in journalism CP. I was in Boy Scouts for about 8 years before I moved to Byfield from NH. I like to go outside and build forts or campfires in the woods, or find a good view to sit at. I used to skate but mostly fell out of it after freshman year. I love to listen to music and find new music to add to my playlist. I have a brother who is almost 8 and a dog.
I also like cars but I’m having some trouble getting one of my own. I used to work at Rusty Can and Wyatt’s Market. I don’t think I have a future in being a journalist, but I do enjoy partaking in-class activities and interviewing different Triton students. Writing and passing out the newspaper is always fun, especially if your story is in it. I think newspapers and journalism are important within the Triton community because not everyone is connected, so having a paper with all of the school’s events and happenings at your disposal is useful. If you decided to pick up a copy and read it, you could find something you never knew about your school. After high school, I will most likely look for a stable job that I could make a living off of. I’d maybe attend a community college, but only if I needed education for a job I wanted. I’d like to be an auto-mechanic, welder, firefighter or boxer.
