Traveling is usually what comes to mind when one thinks of vacations: to travel somewhere tropical, warm, and spend the days by the beach getting a tan. However, some others do stay home, enjoying fun activities and local places with their friends.
As April break approaches there are many students at Triton eager to travel or stay home to relax, some having some fun plans that will keep them outside all day whether in Massachusetts or a new place they have been planning for a while.
There’s a few students who plan to travel, a lot will be inside the country. Going places is fun, yes, but traveling outside the country is definitely something. Willa Lyons has a trip planned where she will go to Paris, France with her grandmother for the entire week.
¨I wanted to travel there because it looked really nice and I have wanted to go since I was younger,¨ she said, explaining why they have chosen France over other places.
It’s just like many people who want to travel, they want to see the world, explore, and see sights. There may be many others who have similar plans to travel this April break, a lot heading out to Florida or nearby states.
There is also something students are definitely looking forward to: relaxing. With no alarm, no assignments, or schedules they can stay home binge-watching shows, and scrolling through the media while under their comfy blankets.
“I’m gonna be bed-rotting with McKayla,” said Destiny Torrez.
For April break those are the exact plans of Destiny and McKayla Hachey. After the weeks of assignments, rushes, quizzes, and stress they plan to be at each other’s houses and talk while in bed.
Some other students are planning to be productive instead, planning to spend their break working.
¨During my April break I plan to work at least five days and make a little extra pay,¨ said Ayden Gallant. ¨Considering there’s no school, I plan to take the opportunity to get some extra hours in.¨
It won’t be all work for him either, also planning to visit his family. If Ayden isn’t busy with any of that then he also has added to his plans to catch up on any school work and other things he usually can’t.
Plans, plans, and more plans, no matter if it’s just sleeping or going somewhere, everyone has something in their schedule. One thing is definite, everyone wants to enjoy this vacation.
