After much consideration from our superintendent Brian Forget, and from the majority vote of the student body. The decision has been made to remove Salisbury from the Triton School District and have Georgetown take it’s place.
On Wednesday, March 20th, 2025. Triton Brian Forget finalized the decision “It just doesn’t make any sense.” Forget stated “Georgetown is just closer anyway. They have a really good bagel spot too” “I like lox on an asiago”
Students and parents alike voted in favor of this major decision, with the plan of sending Salisbury students to Amesbury High School, where they will be welcomed with open arms. “I just love Salisbury” an anonymous Amesbury student stated. “They’re literally right next to us; on the same side of the river too”. Many Salisbury students are in favor of this decision as well “Amesbury High school is less than ten minutes away from me” says Triton student and Salisbury resident Maddie January “Triton is twenty”.
The decision will be finalized on April 31st, 2025. Salisbury students will have a day off of school before joining Amesbury High School, and will keep the same classes with equivalents if needed according to the Department of Education.
