Police led a huge manhunt last Wednesday, October 11th, for two males in Salisbury, MA. State helicopters and police from the surrounding area took part in this search, leaving some of the local in much worry.

A suspicious car parked on Forest road in front of a vacant trailer alarmed neighbors and caused them to call it in. According to the the Daily News, as the cruiser approached shortly after 6:45 pm, the driver, Isaiah Thompson, 21, and two other passengers decided to make a run for it and pulled away from the trailer. They then made their way down Perriman Drive. When police arrived at the vehicle. Thompson was the only one left and was put under immediate arrest. Cocaine, Marijuana, and other drugs were found in his possession, along with a handgun, with no license to carry.

After the arrest, police led a massive manhunt for the other two suspects. One resident, living

on Seabrook rd, described the scene. “It was pretty crazy. Cruisers were zooming down the street, helicopters in the sky, yet we had no idea what was even going on. We just knew that they were on the lookout for someone…The event took place for quite a while also, which made me even more nervous knowing that whoever they were looking for was still on the loose in my area,” says Ann-Marie Rolfe.

Another civilian in the area, Maia Perry, stated how scary the situation was. “I was scared, like really scared. There were helicopters flying over my house, my younger sister was freaking out, and my family just had no idea what was going on at the time.”

Cruisers from Amesbury, Seabrook,Newburyport and Salisbury flooded the streets. State helicopters scoured the sky. As well as Salisbury police k-9, Herc, and his partner, officer Dellaria, searching on foot. The tracks of the suspects led through the marsh in, according to Dellaria, “chest deep” water, which he stated to the Daily News. The chase was continued to Salisbury Square.

Another Salisbury resident living on Forest Rd, Chuck St.Cyr, brother of Ann-Marie, described his face-to-face confrontation with one of the suspects, Daniel Fowler while he was getting food at Salisbury House of Pizza. “I actually let the man into the place. Opened the door for him and everything! He was soaking wet, purple in the face. Looked like he was gonna pass out…Meanwhile I had no idea this was going on, so he thanked me and we went our separate ways.”

Fowler was later seen in Dunkin Donuts on Route 1 and was immediately put under arrest.

Around 9 pm that night, the search for the third suspect was called off. A witness says that they may have seen him near the Hungry Traveler in Salisbury near the beach. There has yet to be any word on the location of the suspect.

The trailer is thought to be a associated with drugs and the three men were there to rob the house. However, this is just a thought by residents of the area, the motive of the suspects still goes unanswered.
