Senior of the Week
Senior of the week is an exclusive series featuring various seniors and how they are currently experiencing their last year of high school.
This week, Cameron Willey talks a little about his experiences as a senior in high school. I interviewed him to find out more about his current place and state of mind for his experiences so far.
TV: “So Cam, do you see the light at the end of the tunnel right now?”
CW: “Hell no, hell no, we’re struggling out here”
TV: “ Why would you say you’re struggling?”
CW:“Busy, I’m so busy and I need more time”
TV:“ What do you need time for?”
CW:“ College applications, early admission to colleges, time to work, make money and save money, it’s all of it, and I just need to organize myself. For right now i’m riding the wave of senior year, and I guess maybe I’ll see why I’m here after”
Cam talks additionally about being trapped here and compares it to catching THE wave.
CW:“ I feel trapped like on an island or something, I need to catch the big kahoona and get out of here, the thing is I don’t know when exactly the big kahoona is going to come. I could be on it right now and I wouldn’t even know, that’s the issue”.
Cam is one of the many seniors at Triton who are experiencing some level of uncertainty about their future and the pressures of life that seem to really resonate senior year.
