Hi! My name is Sergey Avery. I’m a senior at Triton High School. Inside school, I love environmental sciences and music. I am part of the jazz, concert, and marching bands here at Triton. I also participate in some athletics. I played soccer in my previous years and am an avid pole vaulter on and off the track team. During the winter I ski race with a club up in Maine to stay active and competitive. I love to get outside and take pictures, hike, skateboard, and just recently added rock climbing to that list. I picked up journalism because of my love writing. Mix it with my love of being outdoors and environmental sciences and I could have a potential career as an environmental journalist and photographer, my dream job. I feel that journalism is important because it gets information to people that they might otherwise not know about. After high school I am planning on going to a 4 year college to major in environmental sciences. Later on in life I want to travel the U.S. and potentially the world in a VW bus. My career being an environmental journalist and photographer, but self published. I’d like to run a free and paid “blog-like’ website were people who go on it for free get a daily update/story and paid would have access to old stories and be able to buy photos.
