In one’s high school career, there’s always plenty of time for an embarrassing situation to occur that you often don’t like to discuss. When people do things to embarrass them self, they hope nobody notices. If someone does, their face may get red from feeling embarrassed or they tend to just let it go. Especially for the senior class which have had a whole (almost) four years to set themselves up for possibilities to get laughed at or acknowledged for something silly.

Senior Marisa Soffron discusses her embarrassing moment last year that took place in the lunchroom.

“So I was in the lunch line just grabbing my lunch, and after I punched in my code I went over to another table where the ketchup was. I put my lunch tray on that table and I accidently knocked it over and all my popcorn chicken and the rest of my food fell onto the ground,” said Soffron.

“Everyone and I mean everyone in the lunch line saw. Even the lunch ladies. All they said was “Oh, no it looks like you’ll need to get another lunch.” Everyone was looking at me while laughing and took out their phones and took pictures and videos. I just ended up laughing too because it was funny. Typical me thing to do,” Soffron said.

Another embarrassing situation that took place was for Senior Amelia Flynn. It transpired at a lacrosse banquet her junior year when she was giving a speech about Former Alumni Erin Savage, who was a senior at the time.  Flynn was discussing her best wishes for Savage in the future. “At the banquet in front of my team, their parents and friends, which happens to be a good amount of people,  I said during my speech “I know you’ll do great playing basketball at the school you love.” and after I said that, Erin goes “I’m playing field hockey.” Everyone started laughing because I said the wrong sport and I was so embarrassed because I really had no idea. I thought she was just more serious about basketball.”
